Sadly it was not a surprise to lose against top of the league ISCA however Chard came out fighting and put in a good team effort.
With the inspirational advice of stand in captain EJ to just not let them score Chard worked hard to maintain possession and keep ISCA out for as long as possible. Sadly not unexpectedly the speed and efficiency of our opposition paid off and they were able to get some goals to take the lead before half time.
All credit to Chard who managed to create numerous chances attacking the D and when we returned after some wisdom from Danny at half time a superb goal was scored by player of the match Layla.
Chard continued to work hard but a combination of home team fatigue and away team precision saw a number of further goals scored against us.
Despite the result we look forward to building on the team work seen today with our early start against Exeter 4 next week.
Thanks to umpires Gary and Andy.
