As the final score would suggest, this was an evenly matched Sunday League game. Chard began strongly and were rewarded for their persistence when Heidi Warren ran through from midfield to have a shot on goal which was finished on the post by Sophie Gibbons. Chard's defense of Chloe Parke, Elaine Willis and Jo Gibbons were called upon to keep the opposition at bay and with some excellent saves from Charlie Carver-Bale it looked like the visitors would be held. However Salisbury fought hard and secured an equaliser. The match continued with end to end play and Chard hoped for the win when it looked like Crocus Douglas had scored.
