Chard Hockey Club was originally formed in 1907. Today, the Club boasts over 160 members aged 7-70, drawn mainly from Chard, Crewkerne, Ilminster and the surrounding villages.

There are three men's and two ladies' teams that play in competitive leagues throughout the year. Our Junior Development Squad is also provided with a variety of opportunities to play fun and competitive matches against teams from across Somerset, many players progressing to the County's Junior Development Centres and becoming valuable members of Chard's Senior sides.

Led by qualified coaches, club training nights are Wednesdays and Thursdays for Juniors, Wednesdays for Ladies and Thursdays for the Men on the Astro-turf at Cresta Leisure Centre, Holyrood Academy, Chard. There is no obligation to play matches and many Club members choose to attend training only, to maintain their fitness, develop new skills and make new friends.

A friendly Club, new players are always very welcome; as are offers of time, money and expertise to help keep things running smoothly!
