Chard travelled the short distance to Bridgwater who sit a point ahead of them, the game started brightly for the visitors as they moved the ball fast to the forward line and created some good opportunities in the first ten minutes, with both Rollo Squire narrowly missing and Durgan Cooper seeing his goal bound shot expertly dealt with on the line. Bridgwater seemed after this time had a number of late arrivals turn-up and they got the better of Chard in midfield creating a lot of good runs, one such had the defence pulled wide and a neat pass to the centre of the goal gave the Bridgwter striker na easy tap-in. Just before half time the hosts doubled the lead from a penalty corner.
The second half started much the same with Bridgwater bossing the middle of the pitch however Chard defending resolutely with good performances from James Float and George Grossey, however two amazing saves from Kacey Hibbard kept Chard in the game. The last ten minutes of the half had the tables turned as Chard pulled one back as Richard Jones shot was saved and the ball fell to Duncan Lewis who flicked the ball home, shortly afterwards a reverse stick shot from Charlie Grossey beat a flat footed keeper, in the last minutes it could have gone either way with Cooper giving the visitors their best chance as he was well tackled just in front of goal and meant Chard earned a point.
