The fixture was re-aranged from a game postponed due to an icy pitch in December, Minehead turned-up with a much changed side from their normal team with a number of players coming from their higher graded sides, however Chard ground out a deserved draw. The visitors settled into the game better as their quicker passing and movement off the ball was more precise than Chards, who could not settle into any rhythm, as was likely Chard went behind as the ball found its way to the far post, the attackers dummy shot had the defence moving in a noter direction which left an easy tap-in. This seemed to energise the hosts as they became a lot more organised and used the right wing which Durgan Cooper exploited, it was on one of his runs the cross was mis-controlled by the last man and Duncan Lewis pushed the ball beyond the despairing keeper, Chard were more in the game and were awarded a series of penalty corners, the visitors runners were too quick for Chard to get off a good enough shot but as one of these deflected into the path of Alan “Captian” Cheffey he scored.

As the second half started the game became a little more frantic with the ball finding its way to both sets of forwards but neither could get past the last defenders, the visitors ended up scoring a deflected shot which brought the teams to parity, as the half wore on despite the best efforts form the mid-field running of Charlie Grossey and Riley Millet Chard could not find a way through and Minehead continued to press for a winner, some great stops by Arthur Critchley using his stick and varying parts of his body meant the game finished as a draw.
