Chard B 3 West Dorset A 1
Chard B bunched back after their disappointing performance the week before and dominated the game against the side from Bridport. Having the long legs of Tom Float in the middle of the pitch helped tremendously and the return of Durgan Cooper on the right wing assisted in having a good outlet to stretch the visitors defence. Despite Chard having a lot of ball in the final third they could not find a way through until Kevin Mooney pounced on the ball at the far post, however West Dorset on one of their first attacks in the D slotted the ball away to bring the game to parity. Chard retook the lead when Rollo Squire squeezed his shot away from a melee in front of goal, the passing of both teams was at times not up to the normal standards which resulted in not many clear cut chances. The second half Chard took control and throughout the half squandered many chances in front of goal, the attack of George Bromfield, Squire and Cooper creating many chances on the break as West Dorset pushed for an equaliser, Kacey Hibbard in goal pulling of a couple of fine saves. The game was eventually won when debutant Bradley Cooper scored to relieve the nerves of the spectators. Hibbard, Dare, Mooney, Swann, Lewis, Willis, Bromfield, Squire, Cooper (B), Cooper (D), Swain, Float, Washbourne.
