Chard 3s made the short trip to yeovil for the first league game following the Christmas break. Having been warmed up by the 2s last week chard settled into the game well and after absorbing yeovil's early pressure a break down the left side involving Calum and Gary Wheaton who found Cheffey free in the D to put the ball into the right hand corner.

eovil at bay for the rest of the half only conceding 1 short corner much aided by the hard work of the 2 George 's.
Captain Wheaton was pleased with the 1st half performance which Chard had dominated.
Chard started the 2nd half in the same form using the width of the pitch with Ollie having a great game down the right and Joel and Isaac also causing yeovil trouble .
Yeovil shut down Chards attacks in the second half partly chards fault by running into trouble rather than moving the ball as in the 1st half, from nothing yeovil broke and equalised with 10 minutes to go which led to a frantic end to the game with Yeovil losing 2 players with cards. The home team congratulated the performance and inclusion of our youth members which is becoming a regular occurrence after most games.
